From Brasília to Seoul – Client Area Now Multilingual!
Here at FastComet, we are dedicated to continually improving our services and all their features. We firmly believe that customer satisfaction is paramount to our business. While we’ve recently concentrated on refining the technical aspects of our solutions, such as plan upgrades, new data centers, and customer login security, we recognize the importance of addressing the customer-facing side of our offerings, particularly our Client Area and how it is not multilingual.
That’s why our current focus is on improving the accessibility and usability of the Client Area. It is, after all, the singular, consolidated place where our customers can manage their services with us or explore new ones. Previously available only in English, we understand that it may have not catered to the diverse needs of our customers worldwide. To address this, we have undertaken efforts to translate it into multiple languages, ensuring greater convenience and inclusivity for our global customer base.
We Believe in Accessibility
The English language has permeated the world through and through. However, we completely understand that not everyone can use it fluently. That is why we are directing some of our efforts to alleviate the frustration our customers who do not speak English may experience while using our Client Area.
At FastComet we believe that anyone and everyone should be able to purchase and use our services in a manner that is convenient for them. That includes having said services available in their native language. cPanel – the control panel we use for all our hosting plans – already has the option to change its interface language. Why should our Client Area be any different? It is time to get translating!
When Will It Happen?
It is happening right now! We have already rolled out a beta version of the Client Area localization! Upon your next login, you will have the choice of keeping the current language or selecting a different one. Currently, these are the languages available for selection:
- English;
- Spanish;
- French;
- Italian;
- Korean;
- Portuguese.
You can also change the language at any time you want; it is super easy. Simply log into your account on FastComet.com and look for the language selector at the top of the page.
Once you change it, the effects will be immediate: the page will refresh to reflect the newly chosen language. We wanted it to be as convenient as possible and we think we nailed it!
What is Next?
First and foremost, we are hard at work to remove the “beta” tag from our localization efforts. We want each and every language we have chosen, and will choose next, to be as precise and natural as possible – no machine translations!
While working on that, we are also developing a way for our Client Area to automatically assign a language for new customers depending on the language their browser is set to. That should make the Client Area a lot more inviting and less confusing for anyone just starting out with our services.
Finally, we want to add more languages to the list above. We felt those were the most significant ones based on our client base. However, we are definitely not looking to stop there. We want the Client Area to be as accessible as possible for our customers.
Translating Along
We are incredibly excited about this change! It is something we have wanted to do for a very long time, and we are delighted we finally get to do it. As we mentioned before, we want our customers to feel as comfortable as possible when using our services. Making our Client Area multilingual should help achieve that.
