Introduction
Drupal is one of the fast-growing, open-source CMS (Content Management Systems) platforms. It will allow you to do just about everything, from a small website, to a blog or a community forum.
The script currently has more than 25,000 additional modules, 2000 themes, almost 1000 different distributions and more than 30,000 developers and still counting. Recently, Drupal provided information that there are more than 1,000,000 registered accounts on their website and their forum is the best way to find information on how to get started in no time.
System requirements
The requirements for the latest release of Drupal 7 are:
- Web server: Apache, NginX or Microsoft IIS
- Database: MySQL 5.0.15 or higher, PostgreSQL 8.3 or higher, SQLite 3.3.7
- Software: version PHP 5.2.5 or higher (5.3 recommended)
