Requirements

It is time we take a look at what you need to install Craft on your system. Not only are the requirements for Craft easy to fulfill, but most modern hosts already cover them easily. Whether you want to set up a local environment or ensure your host has what you need, here are the Craft requirements.
- PHP 8.2+
- MySQL 8.0.17+
- 512MB memory allocated to PHP
- Composer 2.0+
- 200MB+ for the installation files
- Composer 2.0+
Additionally, you need to ensure your system has the following PHP extensions.
- BCMath
- ctype
- cURL
- GD or ImageMagick
- iconv
- Intl
- JSON
- Multibyte String
- OpenSSL
- PCRE
- PDO MySQL Driver
- PDO
- Reflection
- SPL
- Zip
- DOM
Next, these three PHP methods must be enabled for Craft to run on your system properly.
- allow_url_fopen - This must be enabled to install or update plugins from the Plugin Store;
- proc_* - These methods must be enabled to use the Plugin Store, install updates, or send emails;
- ignore_user_abort - The default web-based queue runner needs this to be enabled to operate.
Additionally, the following files and directories must be writable at all times.
- storage/*
- config/license.key
- web/cpresources/*
Finally, database users must have at least these permissions.
- SELECT
- INSERT
- DELETE
- UPDATE
- CREATE
- ALTER
- INDEX
- DROP
- REFERENCES
- LOCK TABLES
